Cynthia Rose Vocalist
Cynthia Rose has been a vocalist for over twenty five years and now calls Denver Colorado home. She received her degrees from both Capilano College and University of British Columbia. She has sang with many great Canadian players over the years to name a few; the late Linton Garner (Brother of Erroll Garner) Virtuoso Miles Black, Alan Matheson, Peter MacDonald, Lawrence Mollerup, Rob Armus, Chris Nelson, Rene Worst, and Craig Scott. Her songbook though mainly the American Songbook includes many other styles.
Cynthia sings well in many musical configurations from just duo performance or trio or quartet or octet. She also loves to include horn players and work in larger group performances. Playing only with the finest of musicians she often plays with these musicians but plays with others as well.
Doug Roche Piano
Doug has over 40 years of experience as a musician. He was Educated through North Texas University and has travelled Nationally and Internationally and resides in Denver Colorado. He is an active player in the Colorado music scene.
Doug has performed with many groups as well as Hollywood celebrities including Carol Lawrence and Red Skelton. Credits include Kenny Rankin, The Mills Brothers, The Modernaires, Lanie Kazan, and Johnny Otis. He has performed with a cavalcade of jazz icons, including Joe Farrell, Nick Brignola, Teddy Edwards, Buddy De Franco, Terry Gibbs, Red Holloway, Eddie Harris, Richie Cole, Bobby Shew, Lew Tabakin, and Pete Candoli.
Ron Bland Bass
Ron has been a professional musician for over twenty-five years, playing virtually all styles of music in every setting from concert hall to theatre to the recording studio. At home on both the electric and double basses, he performs regularly with many groups. Ron has performed with many jazz greats including Dizzy Gillespie, George Benson, Eddie Daniels, Billy Taylor, Tom Scott, Bobby McFerrin, Red Rodney, Phil Wilson, Byron Stripling, Clare Fischer, Diane Schuur, Doc Severinsen and Bill Watrous. Recent show work includes the national companies of “Blood Brothers”, “Grease” and “Big” at the Buell Theatre as well as performances with Bob Hope, Rita Moreno, Marvin Hamlisch, Linda Ronstadt, Maureen McGovern, Rosemary Clooney, Billy Crystal, Steve Allen (his last performance) and Luciano Pavarotti. Ron graduated with a B.A. Degree in bass performance from Metropolitan State University of Denver where he is a part-time faculty member.
Don Grove Percussion
A percussionist for over 40 years with an ability to play many styles he has played everything from rock to jazz. The early 70’s found him playing with Doobie Brothers band but has played with many jazz groups as well. To name a few he has worked with Clark Terry, Spike Robinson, Nicky Perot and more.
